Gireesh Puthenchery

Girish Puthenchery was a prominent Malayalam lyricist, poet, scriptwriter, and screenwriter known for his distinctive writing style. He debuted with the movie "Enquiry" in 1989, won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist seven times, and held the record for writing the most songs in the Malayalam film industry in the shortest time; he also served as the director of the Indian Performance Rights Society Malayalam division and was a governing council member of Kerala Kalamandalam and Kerala Lalithakala Academy.
